Tell the Gorham Town Council you think they went too far when they cut $2.9 million from the Gorham School Budget.

On June 13, 2023 voters voted down the proposed FY24 School Budget totaling $51,494,845, a mill rate increase of $1.31.

On June 28, 2023 the School Committee voted to reduce the overall request by $909,000. The new budget request total was $50,585,845, a mill rate increase of $0.99. No services were reduced in this budget request.

On July 11, 2023 the Town Council voted to CUT the school budget by an additional $2 million, a total of $48,585,845.

You can vote in person at Town Hall until July 20. You may also request an absentee ballot, or vote in person on July 25 at your regular polling location. Click here to email the Town Council to let them know you are voting NO because the budget is TOO LOW!
On July 25, 2023 we will vote on this new reduced budget, and we need your voice to ensure proper funding for our schools!
These reductions will result in larger class sizes, more students in study halls, and virtually no opportunities for our children to participate in after school clubs, performing arts, or athletic related events.
